Okay I visit a website for mormon women and they are talking about modest swimsuit or how to find them. One offered up this site for consideration.

Okay I am all for modesty but you have got to be kidding me. These aren't swimsuits! They are shirts and shorts. I don't know, I think sometimes these women make mountains out of molehills. They are going backwards. I know it's there right but for some reason it really annoys me. One of these days their daughters are going to sneak bikinis, tank tops and short shorts in their backpacks and change into them when they think mom and dad aren't looking. There is a difference in being modest and being prudish. Why not just forego swimming alltogether and get yourself a burkha??
It's extreme to let your daughter out in a string bikini and it's also extreme to make them swim practically fully clothed. They will rebel. I have seen children of overly strict parents become exactly what their parents feared. Pregnant at 15. On drugs and dead from suicide at 18. I know that's a little extreme but like I said I know people this has happened to. One family went as far as to ask to have removed all store ads that advertised women's underwear(Walmart, Kmart) from their newspaper subscriptions because they didn't want their children looking at half naked women. One son was arrested for child molestation shortly after. Maybe if they would have discussed with them about sex and nudity being natural, healthy, good things instead of something to be ashamed of than it could have prevented something like this. I realize it's probably a deeper issue with them but it just seems to me that the more we discuss something the better off our kids are. Knowledge is power!

Okay done rambling now. I know I probably didn't make sense. I am PMSing so every little thing is setting me off today!!
